Seeing the Deepam on TV is NOT Darshan

 People should realize that seeing the Deepam on TV or the Internet, is not darshan.

 This is like telling Arunachala: "I'm too busy to come to You. So here's what I'm going to do. I'm just going to look you up on the TV or Internet."Even if not said in so many words, this is the implication; no ifs or buts about it.

 So, this idea of watching the Deepam on TV or the Internet, and concluding that one has gotten the darshan, should be given up in its entirety.

 Arunachala and the most blessed Deepam Jothi should be seen with one's naked eyes, without glasses or contact lenses getting in the way of the Jothi and your eyes, said Sathguru Venkataraman.

 The great blessing of this human birth is that we can see the Arunachala Jothi with our naked eyes. So "get" this blessing by seeing it with your naked eyes in Arunachala... on the Karthigai Deepam day and all subsequent days the Jothi flame is lit at the top of the Arunachala Hill.

 Even if you don't get the darshan of the jothi on all 10 days, at least get it on the 4 days (after Karthigai Deepam) mentioned in the next post.

Not just the Karthigai Deepam Day, but 2 weeks after it too!

 Most people think that once the Karthigai Deepam jothi flame is lit (on the Karthigai Deepam Day) at the peak of the Arunachala Hill, that's all there's to it and it's all over. NOT SO.

 The Deepam flame is lit every evening at the top of the Arunachala Hill for the next 10 days too (12 days if there is enough ghee and cloth for the giant wick.)

 Getting the darshan of not only the Karthigai Deepam jothi, but also the Arunachala Jothi flame on all these 10 days after the Karthigai Deepam is a wonderful blessing, said Sathguru Venkataraman.

 (Instead of just 10 days, this should really be a full two weeks. Siddha Sathguru Venkataraman wanted the practice of lighting the deepam flame for a full "paksham" to be reinstated, i.e., a full 2 weeks after the Karthigai Deepam Day . Let us pray to Lord Arunachala that this should happen in the future.)

O Lord Shiva, Your Drum Beat is my Heart Beat!

 "O Lord Shiva, Your drum beat is my heart beat. The sacred drum beats from Your udukkai (damaruga) drum determine the rhythm of all life. Without this non stop beat, there will be no life and no life forms. Your udukkai drum beats are our heart beats. Everyone of our heart beats is the sound of Your Maheswara Sutra Beejaksharas. So, Thank You, Lord Arunachala Shiva! Please accept our gratitude, which we humbly offer at Your Lotus Feet." (Udukkai = Damarugam = the drum in Lord Shiva's hands.)

2015 Karthigai Deepam = "Maheswara Maha-Sutra Maha-Mantra Maha-Karthigai Maha-Deepam"

 The Siddha secrets regarding the "Arunachala Karthigai Deepam Sacred Festival of 2015" have been explained in great detail in close to 40 pages in the November 2015 issue of Sri Agasthia Vijayam, our Siddha monthly magazine, made available to the public in October 2015. 

 This is our customary yearly issue full of Siddha insights concerning the Great Karthigai Deepam Festival of the current year in Arunachala.

 Siddha Sathguru Venkataraman referred to the upcoming Great Karthigai Deepam of Year 2015 as the "Maheswara Maha-Sutra Maha-Shakti Arunachala Deepam."

 The spiritual basis of all of creation and its functioning is the set of 14 Maheswara Sutras that emanate from the sacred drum beats from Lord Shiva's udukkai (damaruga) drum. (Read our article on the Mahesvara Sutras first before you read this article on the 2015 Karthigai Deepam.)

 (2) Lord Maha Krishna Maayam Perumal removes the maya and ego that cloud humans and even celestial beings.

 (3) He uplifts us from our selfish, greedy lives. For those who are tired of their "mechanical lives" living for themselves and their families alone, Lord Maha Krishna Maayam Perumal gives them a way out of the morass of mundane life.
