Mantrapeeteshvari and the power of a Billion Mantras!

Ohm.

The "ha" Sutra and the shakti of a billion mantras!

The expression "agaram to kshakaram" refers to the 51 letters between "a" and "ksha." Within these are the letters and sounds of all languages. This is also the root of the western expressions "from A to Z" and "from alpha to omega."
Words such as Akshaya, Akshaya-Vatam and Akshaya Tritiyai juxstapose these first and last syllables and signify complete well being. This is the Siddha secret behind the wonderful "depression curing mantra" given by Sathguru Venkataraman that we mentioned earlier.
For each of these 51 letters from "a" to "ksha," there are one crore (10,000,000) mantras that Siddhas and rishis have received and given to us. Thus a total of 51 crore (510 million) mantras! And all of these have the shakti of the "ha" Maheswara Sutra beejakshara!
Apart from the 51 crore mantra classification mentioned above, other classifications of 72 crore mantras and 108 crore mantras also exist.

Mother Mantrapeeteshvari and the power of a Billion Mantras!

The classifications of 51 or 72 or 108 crore mantras are closely related to the classifications of 51, 72 or 108 Shakti Peetam seats, which are sacred spaces that overflow with the shakti (power) of the Universal Mother Goddess.

The ultimate seat of unimaginable mantra power - the power of a billion mantras - is the sacred space of Mother Mangalambika in the Adi Kumbeshwar Temple in Kumbakonam.

This manifestation of the Universal Mother Goddess - Mangalambika, the Divine Consort of Kumbeshwara Shiva - is MANTRAPEETESHWARI, the Empress of the mantra kingdom of a billion mantras!

In our Sri Vidya system, we have the Mangaleswari Peetam as "Maha-Hara-Shakti" and thus we also refer to Mother Mangalambika's sacred space as "Maha-Hara-Devi-Sthaanam" (sacred space) and as "Sri Vidya Mantra Peeteshwari Bhoomi" (sacred land).

We published this and the previous posts on the 2015 Karthigai Deepam some days ago in this blog, at the beginning of the 2015 Karthigai Deepam Festival. But since those posts were deleted by mistake, we are reposting them again. The article in the website has all of this info of course.

Get rid of sadness and depression!

Ohm.

How to get rid of sadness and depression

When the mind and body have been deflated and defeated by sadness, dejection, depression and fatigue, what can you do to get out of that drowning whirlpool?
You can chant the Akshaya Maha Mantra which will pull you out of the depths of depression, rejuvenate you with spiritual shakti and infuse you with enthusiasm. The "sadhana" of this Akshaya Maha Mantra is the cure for sadness and depression!
What is this Akshaya Maha Mantra? It is a wonderful mantra given by Sathguru Venkataraman. It is as follows:

"Sivaya Sivaha,
Raamaadhi Raamaha,
Brahmaadhi Brahmaha,
Akshaya Akshaya Akshayaha
" - The "Ha"kaara Hara Shakti Akshaya Maha Mantra given by Sathguru Venkataraman that puts an end to depression!

Sathguru Venkataraman gave this wonderful mantra to us during our physical seva (service) in the Uttamar Kovil Temple (of Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu) near Trichy.
This mantra has been used in many "homam" fire ceremonies conducted by the Sathguru, including our homam at Arasar Koil during our Vishnupathi celebration there in honor of Mother Sundara Maha Lakshmi and Lord Kamala Varadaraja Perumal.
This maha mantra is packed with the Hara Shakti that the "ha" Maheswara Sutra brims with. And it is relevant here because the Maheswara Sutra for Day 2 of the 2015 Karthigai Deepam is the "ha" sutra.

That which is First! (on this first day of the 2015 Karthigai Deepam)

Ohm.

That which is First = Agaram.

"Agara, Agaramaalya, Agaramangudi Agasthiyam" Siddha Insights on this First Day

That which is first is known as Agaram.
The first letter of the alphabets of both Divine Tamil and Divine Sanskrit is the "a" sound known as Agaram.
The Veda scriptures are also referred to as Agaram since they are thefirst amongst scriptures.
He who is first amongst Siddhas and rishis is Agasthiar.
The first among stars is the Agasthiar Star, referred to as Canopus in Western Astronomy.
The first among grasses is the Agasthia Dharbha Grass found in the Kanjathu Malai sacred space (near Pudukottai - Ponamaravathi - Poolankurichi) and in Kasi Varanasi. (Kanjaathu Malai is a wonderful "tharpana shakti" sacred space as we have mentioned several times in our publications.)
The first among greens is Agathi-Keerai.
The first among beings is the cow and hence it is known as "aa" in divine Tamil.
The giving of Agathi-Keerai (the first among greens) to cows, (thefirst among beings), is a wonderful Siddha solution for solving many problems arising from the bad karma of previous births, said Sathguru Venkataraman.
So on this first day of the 2015 Karthigai Deepam, the first place is given to the "a" sound (the first among sounds) in our Siddha system.

The Dance Form of Nataraja Shiva helps us understand the 14 Maheswara Sutras

Ohm.

The Dance Form of Nataraja Shiva helps us understand the 14 Maheswara Sutras

Whether you understand the meaning of the Maheswara Sutras or not, learn them from a spiritual elder and chant them daily.
But chanting them after learning the meaning and the origin of these 14 Maheswara Sutras is good.
However, how about uneducated people who may not be that comfortable with philosophy? There is a solution for them too. And that is the darshan of the Dance Form of Nataraja Shiva.
The Maheswara Sutras originated from the "udukkai" damaruga drum during the dance of Nataraja and thus regular darshan of the Nataraja deity form leads them to an understanding of the Maheswara Sutras.
Whether it is the darshan of the metal sculpture form of Nataraja (that is found in almost all Shiva temples), or of a painting form of Nataraja (Kutralam Chitra Sabha) or even better, the darshan of Nataraja deity form sculpted in stone as in the OotathurOmampuliyur or Kanjanur sacred spaces - let them get the darshan of the Nataraja form, inch by inch, with bhakti devotion and let them listen to the sound of the udukkai damaruga drum.
If they do this regularly, they will be able to learn and understand the Maheswara Sutras, to the extent they need to, by the grace of Guru. The only two requirements here are deep faith and devotion.

14 - a number that completes, a number that makes whole.

Ohm.

14 - a number that completes, a number that makes whole.

14 and the Maheswara Sutras.
14 and Hanuman.
14 and Daily Life.

Siddha Sathguru Venkataraman said that the Siddha secret about the number 14 is that it completes and makes whole whatever it refers to.
14 is one of the numbers with this great spiritual potential to make something whole and bestow completeness.
Thus there are 14 Maheswara Sutras that make whole and complete all of creation.

14 and Hanuman

14 is also the number of ChathurMukha Anjaneya Hanuman, who will accept the position of being the next Brahma.
The deity form of this manifestation of Hanuman, known as Paripoorna Anjaneya and ChathurMukha Jaya Maruthi Hanuman, will have four faces just like Lord Brahma.
Why is 14 the number of this manifestation of Hanuman? The organization of the 14 "loka" worlds (bhu, bhuvar, suvar, ... athala, vithala, suthala, ...) is the responsibility of Brahma. And thus 14 is also the number of Paripoorna Anjaneya (Chathur Mukha Jaya Maruthi Hanuman) who will be the next Brahma.
At the end of the "14 kalpakaala" time period during which ChathurMukha Paripoorna Anjaneya Hanuman will reign as the next Brahma, a time period known as "Visvaboothi Kalpakaalam" will begin.
Further, it is Hanuman's name that is chanted to bring any "nama kitan" devotional singing to its completion. It is customary to sing a Hanuman song and then end the kirtan session with Anjaneya Moorthi ki jai or Anjaneya Maharaj ki jai or Hanuman Maharaj ki jai. This is also done in homam fire ceremonies where the final offering is made to Lord Hanuman to complete the fire ceremony.
Thus 14 and completion are very relevant to the divine topic of Lord Hanuman.

14 and Daily Life.
14 "Thithi" Days.

Even in our daily lives, the number 14 plays an important role. Our life on earth marches through a progression of 14 unique "thithi" days (from Prathamai to Chathurdasi), bounded on either side by the Amavasya New Moon Day and the Pournami Full Moon Day, which make up one phase of the moon.
Each human life progresses through a series of these phases of the moon, with every waxing and every waning phase of the moon having 14 unique "thithi" days.
Each one of these 14 "thithi" days (that our lives march through) has its own unique spiritual significance, as explained in great detail by Siddha Sathguru Venkataraman in his "thousand day blog" from April 2004 to February 2007
Thus the number 14 is relevant not just in the realm of the deities but also in our daily lives.
As we have said many times in our publications, each of these phases (approximately 14.75 days) is the first substantial building block of time within which a human being can achieve something of reasonable spiritual significance.  This is why we have said that whatever spiritual practice you emabark on, do it without break at least for a minimum of one full "paksham"." The word "paksham" refers to one full phase of the moon, either waxing or waning, and spans approximately 14.75 days.

14-th Day Deepam = Hanuman Deepam

The "Brahmotsava" festival, that is celebrated in every temple, marks the most important celebration for that temple.
This "Brahmotsave practice" was first begun by Lord Brahma in Ani Annamalai (Adi Annamalai), a sacred space (in Arunachala) where He did intense "tapasya" spiritual austerities.
From the first day (flag hoisting day) of the Great Karthigai Deepam Festival, which is the Brahmotsava celebration of the Arunachaleswar Temple, the 14-th day, when the Anjaneya (Hanuman) Deepam is lit, marks the completion of this Brahmotsava for the residents of Brahma Loka.
After this, the Pitru Exalted Ancestral Beings, Gandharvas, Kimpurushas and such advanced celestial beings will continue the worship process in their subtle forms.
